¿Cómo construir un corazón?
Un corazón de piedra es inamovible, impenetrable.
Un corazón de piedra protege y sella el exterior,
a salvo de todo daño.
Pero una piedra no puede crecer,
sólo puede cambiar cuando está envejecida...
y erosionada por el lento paso del tiempo.
Puedes mantenerla pulida
pero siempre perderá su brillo.
Un corazón de arena podría ser mejor.
Puede fluir y cambiar y está listo para ser remodelado
cuando surge la necesidad.
Pero es inconstante,
nunca permanece en el mismo sitio.
Se escurre entre los dedos
y se lo lleva el viento.
Entonces, ¿cómo moldeamos un corazón?
Con luz, amor y tierra,
con una pizca de arena,
dejando que nuestros sueños y esperanza crezcan hasta convertirse en una cascada.
Y con un poco de piedra para defendernos.

How to build a heart?
A heart of stone is immovable, impenetrable.
A heart of stone protects and seals off the outside,
safe from harm.
But a stone cannot grow,
can only change when weathered
and eroded by the slow passing of time
You can keep it polished
but it will always lose its shine.
A heart of sand could be better.
It can flow and change and is ready to be remolded
when the need arises.
But it is inconstant,
never remaining in one place.
It slips though your fingers and blows away
with the wind.
So how do we mold a heart?
With light, and love and earth,
with a pinch of sand,
allowing our dreams and hope to grow to a cascade.
And with just a bit of stone to defend oursleves.
